I do hope that you know, you are beautiful in every way. Even when you don't feel like it, just know in your heart that it's true. Sounds weird right? Well guess what that is Faith right there!
A little about me, I am a non-religious person as defined by me means I don't currently identify with any "religious" group practice. However I do believe in truth, reciprocity, love and kindness. I strive to fulfill and live out these personal beliefs daily.
So back to Faith! What is it? What does it mean? Sometimes I just say keep it simple. Faith by definition is the "complete trust or confidence in someone or something".
So now I would like to enhance and elaborate on the said above definition of faith.
Let's add the words "and" along with "utter" to the definition and subtract "something" it leaves us with the ability to dig deeper into the word "someone".
So "faith" for the purposes of this blog is "The complete and utter trust or confidence in someone."
"The complete and utter trust or confidence in someone"
That my people is a powerful statement alone.
Now we can look at the object of this definition which is really about the "someone" and that someone is you and I as well as everyone else we encounter. Let's say right now you have complete and utter confidence and trust in yourself.
Who could you be presently?
How can you use this statement to grow through life's circumstances?
I say this to myself but to you as well remember any circumstance in our life only has relevance based on the association we attach to it. Such as is this circumstance negative or positive? Sometimes a circumstance is just a matter of fact and or condition that is happening in the moment in time in which we are experiencing.
So how does one have "faith" a complete and utter trust or confidence in one's self or someone when some fact or situation in our life is seemingly showing up positive or negative? That's it we have to trust in ourselves, have belief in ourselves, know within ourselves that through our confidence that all the hell and love we go through will turn out right. However, that doesn't mean inaction.
It means looking for ways to be proactive in our own lives. Seeking the ability in one self to overcome obstacles no matter how greatly daunting it may seem.
Sometimes I call upon the wisdom of my ancestors. My grandfather was a Christian baptism minister. He often said "God helps those, whom help themselves."
I can say in my experience no one is coming to save you, and I am not talking about a spiritual being coming from the heavens above.
We must save ourselves from our own circumstance by having faith in our ability to make it through life. But the starting point is individual self, then along the journey self can connect with other like minded individuals in turn we can have faith in each other.
In a world where disaster, chaos and confusing is ever more present amongst human families. It's relevant to say having a little faith in ourselves and each other can helps us collectively.
